Have you tried the coffee that is all over social media , some call it Tik Tok Coffee but to give it its real name it is Dalgona Coffee.

Due to my illness I started experiencing severe pain from any type of exertion including caffeine boosts so I had to give coffee and energy drinks the boot. I missed coffee the most particularly as it was something I had reached for at 3:30 pm for so long, the worse the illness got the worse any type of exertion made me feel so peppermint tea became my hot drink of choice.

That was until recently they were everywhere and I desperately wanted to give it a try. What was the worst that could happen if I made it really milky, well sleep was what happened. I drank in and within 20 minutes I was absolutely out for the count.

It is really easy to make , all you need is

  • 2 tablespoons of instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • Milk or
  • Lots of ice or
  • Hot water

This next part you can make as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. You take the 2tbs of coffee, sugar, water and you whisk it until it turns frothy and lighter in colour.

You can use an electric whisk or do it by hand , by hand takes a lot of exertion and you think it is never going to be like you see it on social media but it does.

I had it over half milk and half hot water to make a very milky drink but its completely up to you. Some people have it cold over lots of ice , others use a creamer or alternative milk . I have even seen people substitute the sugar for sweetener, it’s absolutely your choice.

So now you know what you need to do go off and have fun with it and don’t forget to tag me in your pictures 😘
