Hyperhidrosis

Does anyone else suffer with Hyperhidrosis ?

In case you haven’t heard of it , Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating .

Your whole body can be affected or just certain areas.

It’s not sweating from excessive exercise most of the time you sweat for no reason.

It can be a side effect of taking certain medication .

My first experience was years ago , we were in town shopping and all of a sudden I felt like I was on fire . It felt like my body was burning from the inside out. The worst was my head, I have naturally thick hair and no exaggeration my hair was drenched.

You could put your hand into my hair , without touching the scalp you could feel just how hot I was without.

The weirdest part was I wasn’t hot on my forehead.

It wasn’t like I had a temperature.

Around this time I was having injections into my tummy every month. I had been diagnosed with Endometriosis and everything we had tried before just hadn’t helped.

My consultant suggested putting my body into a medical menopause which meant monthly injections.

So I just put it down to that.

I informed my Dr who suggested that it could be a side effect to the medication I was taking.

Unfortunately that was all the medical help I was getting. Even after bringing it up each time I go into the surgery.

The excessive sweating of the face and scalp became another awful thing for me to live with and it destroyed my confidence.

It’s not something you can cover up.

I could be talking to someone and with no warning I would start feeling the internal burning sensation.

It would start around the chest area quickly moving to my face and head.

Sounds silly but the best way to describe it is like a boiling kettle.

Nothing I have tried has given me any relief.

Let me clear something up it doesn’t smell.

It got so bad that I can’t have a normal shower, it had to be cold particularly in the summer .

Sometimes I would get out of the shower wrap a towel around myself and within minutes I was back in the shower.

It makes me so embarrassed.

The reason I am mentioning it today is because last night myself and my Hubby went out .

We went to the Echo Arena to see The League of Gentlemen.

I tried to make an effort I really did but it was an absolute waste of time. By the time I was dressed I was drenched through.

The effort was wasted, you may already know that I can’t do anything for myself so I had My Princess to help. She helped me shower, dress and straightened my hair for me.

It was pointless , by the time I got in the car my hair was up . All that hair with that much heat , no chance.

I even had to put the air conditioning on full.

The make up which had even been finished off with a good spray of Mac Fix Plus, all gone!

I really did try to make an effort.

I really did hope that I could just once feel good about myself , no chance I was sat in the car with my head drenched and my eyes running.

Sexy!!!!

At least the show was excellent 🤣🤣🤣

Do you experience this ?

Have you had any help from your Dr ?

Have you had any sort of explanation ?
