Day in my life | Kitsch Haul | Life with my Labrador | ASMR

Welcome to YouTube

Welcome to my YouTube channel, my name is Alisha

I have been incredibly fortunate to work with so many amazing companies, I will never take that for granted. Unboxing this big box from Kitsch made me giddy, even my voice went up an octave higher, and I felt so very special unboxing it.

I really do love what they are doing at Kitsch every single product you touch is so well made, you can see the love and care that has gone into each design. They aren’t the cheapest company but sometimes we all deserve a treat and that’s what every item they sent me feels like.

Even while writing this my head is on a Kitsch Satin Pillowcase and my weighted eye mask is in the bedside drawer beside me.

I’m trying to make big changes like establishing a better sleep routine in the hope that it will have a positive effect on my health, my beautiful satin pillowcases and my weighted sleep mask are a big part of that along with cutting out sugary drinks after I take my night medicines. OK, that last one isn’t going as well as I would like but it will, I’m determined to make it work.

Kitsch Haul

I wanted to start this off by again saying Thankyou Kitsch for the amazing box of goodies they sent out to me. It’s not often I really treat myself so opening that really did feel like all of my Christmases had arrived early. In my latest YouTube video I said that I would list all of the things that Kitsch had sent out to me and it just seems easier to list them all here, if you haven’t yet watched the video it is a mix of a day in my life, an unboxing video, life with my Labrador as well as a little ASMR thrown in.

YouTube

I really love making YouTube videos and learning all about editing, writing scripts, and transitions it’s all so new to me. When I left school computers couldn’t be picked up so catching up with all the technology that has happened is going to take a while.

Being able to film any type of video is going to take me a few days as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis leaves me exhausted without learning a new skill, you will see throughout the video that my speech slows down or I start talking with a slight lisp. To try and make it look as normal as possible I filmed it over a few days stopping when things got too difficult, I really thought that I had pulled it off by wearing the same shirt but when it came to editing you could see it from a mile away.

I talk about this in the video but I love them so much that I have to tell you again. I have very thick dark hair and while it isn’t as long as it was it is still a lot of hair. I try to keep my hair up if the weather is warm, when im eating and while I am showering but most hair claw clips just dont hold my hair up, some I can put on the very ends of my hair at the front of my head but sooner than later it all ends up down. A few years ago I found a large claw clip in Claire’s accessories which held my hair up so each time I did an order  I would buy 4 at a time but for some reason, they no longer have them. When I started talking with Kitsch it was one of the things on my wish list. Being able to put my hair up with minimal movement makes a difference.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis

Having Myalgic Encephalomyelitis leaves my body exhausted so every movement is considered as it will leave me in severe pain and each time I move has a direct effect on my energy level. So to put my hair up out of my way it a quick twist and then clip or clamp in, I can’t spend time brushing it first or styling it. I have to put out the minimum effort to make it happen. Every single movement costs me dearly, this illness punishes every single movement, each bend of a joint anywhere on the body. It includes things like talking, eating and as my illness progressed I was unable to rely on my body to do things that I would do without thinking about them, things as simple as raising an arm I can not do now as the pain is too much. I wish I could make people understand this illness and why it is different in different people. If you suspect that you have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and have questions please write them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.
