It’s been a while since I blogged so bear with my if I seem a little rusty. It’s been a tough few months which have seen big changes like the launch of our new online store. For the store I only want to stock items that have been tested by Graham , Rebecca or myself the one I am reviewing today is so Comfy Cosy , here goes.

Most of you already know that I have Severe ME which leaves me bedridden so I have stacks of qualifications to be able to review this duvet. Our bed is so comfortable, we have a Eve mattress and pillows and a duvet which is a 15 tog (warm and toasty). In winter we have it as a 15 tog and then when it gets a little warmer we just unclip part of the duvet to give us a 5 tog duvet. It’s perfect.

Which brings me on to this duvet set , our bedroom is painted white with a grey etoile type wallpaper design on one wall. So all of our duvet covers are white , grey or a mix of the two. I was looking for new bedding for a while and came across this on Amazon, I have never bought bedding from Amazon before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It only took a day to arrive due to my favourite thing in the world , Amazon Prime. When it arrived I took it out of the packaging to get Becks to put it through the wash ( sensitive skin so I don’t even try something on without it being washed first ) the first thing that I noticed was how soft it was , it was almost like a silky cotton feeling. Definitely something that I would be happy to cuddle into.

After Becks washed it she came up to put it on my bed and OMG it was cuddly soft. The duvet cover has ties in each of the inside corners to keep your duvet perfectly positioned inside, oh yes this was already impressing me. Even better was no buttons at the bottom , it was a zipper ! , why isn’t that standard on all bedding ? .

The minute it was on I was stroking it , it was just so soft. This duvet is special it’s so comfortable and weightless almost , sometimes a duvet cover makes you feel too warm this doesn’t. I was more than happy particularly when you look at this price !!!

People with ME/CFS have fatigue that is very different from just being tired. The fatigue of ME/CFS:

Worsening of ME/CFS symptoms after physical or mental activity that would not have caused a problem before illness. This is known as post-exertional malaise (PEM).

Many but not all people with ME/CFS have other symptoms.

Pain is very common in people with ME/CFS. The type of pain, where it occurs, and how bad it is varies a lot. The pain people with ME/CFS feel is not caused by an injury. The most common types of pain in ME/CFS are:

  • Muscle pain and aches
  • Joint pain without swelling or redness
  • Headaches, either new or worsening

Some people with ME/CFS may also have:

  • Tender lymph nodes in the neck or armpits
  • A sore throat that happens often
  • Digestive issues, like irritable bowel syndrome
  • Chills and night sweats
  • Allergies and sensitivities to foods, odors, chemicals, light, or noise
  • Muscle weakness
  • Shortness of breath
  • Irregular heartbeat

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis does not have a cure.

Find a Dr or Consultant who listens to you is the first step

It is a manageable condition and depending on the severity of your symptoms the more difficult this can become.

I advise learning to listen to your body and what it is telling you. If you feel tired rest and if you feel pain find a solution to reduce that pain, this could be through pain medication prescribed by your Dr.

I am not saying that finding a Dr who listens or listening to your body is going to be easy as this illness is incredibly complex for some and manageable for others.

Having a Dr who listens to you or reads about the latest drug that sufferers are recommending can take a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety from the sufferer.

Most pages list the illness as ME/CFS or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or sometimes even Systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID).
